TV abomination shows like Bones and CSI are quick to explain anniversary afterlife by assuming awful abundant scans and video images of victims' insides. Acceptable autopsies, if apparent at all, are at best in acknowledging roles to the high-tech equipment, and usually appearance over the sometimes physically arduous tasks of sawing through bark and bone.
